The Faxon Duty Series 16" Gunner 7.62x39 barrel combines AK-caliber power with AR-15 precision. Designed for balance and control, the Gunner profile merges the strength of a Government contour with the light weight and maneuverability of a Pencil profile.
Machined from 4150 CMV steel and finished with a salt bath Nitride treatment inside and out, this barrel offers durability, corrosion resistance, and consistent accuracy. Each Faxon barrel is stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and features an 11-degree target crown for precision shot placement.

Great Barrel
This is my 7th Faxon barrel. Like the others, this barrel is beyond excellent! I haven’t shot it yet, but the accuracy of my other Faxon barrels has been impressive.

Great barrel
I bought a couple of these 762 X 39 and 556 never had an issue. Great barrels, my buddies bought from other manufacturers before and almost always has feed ramp or clearance issues, I've never had one with any of the facts and barrels I've bought highly recommend.

7.62x39mm 16" barrel
This barrel is the key component in the most accurate semiautomatic rifle I have ever owned. It delivers consistent small groups with handloads using the Hornady 150-grain BTSP. This upper on a lower equipped with a Timney trigger is now my go-to deer rifle for northern Wisconsin.

Fine stuff
With a little heavier buffer (not Faxon issue) my Adams Arms gas piston system has my AR eating everything including Russian Steel. Faxon is a great place to get your build going.

I purchased both this and the 5R limited edition and they both shoot wonderfully. Faxon is great for well made products at a more affordable price. We appreciate that Faxon!

Hands Down the Best 7.62x39 Barrel on the Market. Fits all the Criteria's, Price, Quality and Performance. The fit & Finish is perfect, it is a Mid Length Gas System, the reduction of recoil is amazing on this barrel. Pair it with Faxon BCG and you are good to go.
