The AXIS Series is the evolution of Faxon’s match-grade program—our renowned stainless barrels, now honed & lapped for a mirror-smooth bore and exceptional consistency. This 16" Gunner .223 Wylde blends Gov’t durability with Pencil-like agility, shifting balance back toward the shooter for faster handling and reduced fatigue.
Built from 416R stainless with 5R button rifling (1:8 twist) and finished in a clean bead-blast, each AXIS barrel is stress relieved, air-gauge tested, MPI-inspected, and headspace verified. A Nickel Teflon–coated M4 extension enhances lubricity and tightens the extension-to-receiver fit to support repeatable harmonics and accuracy.
