Seeing "MIL-SPEC" as just the starting point, we set out to ensure the best options are available for our demanding customers.
Improvements include using 9310 tool steel for the bolt, nitriding the assembly to increase surface hardness, decrease resistance, and have superior corrosion resistance compared to typical chrome and phosphasted bolt carrier groups. All bolts are fully MPI tested to ensure the material is sound and without defects. Bolt lugs are chamfered 45 degrees to ensure reliable action for even the highest pressure hand loads and fast lightweight actions.
Faxon Bolt Carrier Groups are Superfinished to reduce friction, increase smoothness of operation, and reduce fouling. Further, they are full-Auto rated and maintain the trip for full-auto fire control groups and new multi-stage trigger systems. Gas keys use grade 8 fasteners and are fully staked for a lifetime of service.

FAXON 5.56 M16 BOLT CARRIER GROUP, NITRIDED
I have not finish building my firearm yet to give it a performance review but it appears to be a quality item. The machining and finish is what I expected from Faxon. If possible, I will give an update when completed.

FAXON 5.56 M16 BCG ( UPDATE )
This is an update to my last review , I used BCM upper receivers mated to Faxons Heavy 16" mid length barrels in two exactly the same builds along with these beautiful machined and finished Faxon BCG's . But caution to the wind , I had exact issues with both guns , both would not feed correctly , both were run with D and H / Magpul mags . In both guns the BCG's were changed out to a different brand BCG and functioned without any issues . I have contacted Faxon to check into this issue in case others run across the same . BCM is known for their tight tolerances and Quality . This could be a case where stacked tolerances are occurring . there were several worn high spots on the Faxon BCG's as to where they were rubbing inside the BCM uppers and causing the many feed issues with 20 - 40 rounds . The other brand new Brand of BCG"s funtioned as should with the BCM upper .
