Faxon 16" Gov't/Socom, 5.56 NATO, Mid-Length, 4150, Nitride w/ Pinned Gas Block AR-15 Barrel
FaxonIf you're looking for a more robust mounting method for your gas block... look no further. Pinning your gas block, in addition to the use of set screws, gives the user the extra piece of mind that your gas block won't shift or loosen while firing.
Faxon Firearms barrels are the pinnacle of value. Manufactured in-house, these barrels are fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11 degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy.
Quality is imbued into our barrels from the start. We start with the best materials, either certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel or 416-R Stainless. From there, each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. All barrels are individually checked for headspace by precision custom hardened gauges.

Proven to get the job done
I owna few of these Barrels, and I'll probably buy even more in the future. This SOCOMProfile gets the job done with reliable and consistent performance. Depending on Ammunition, you can expect MOA performance/accuracy. Ordering it paired with the gasblock prevents me from "Forgetting" something during the ordering process (Though, I still forgot to order a Gas tube this last time). I have barrels with over 10k rounds through them, and some with less than 100 rounds. The barrels with over 10k do show signs of wear, but it is expected when you use it primarily ona demo gun that sees lots of Mag Dumps using some junk ammo at times. The Finish holds up to abuse well, and the feed ramps have lined up very well with the Upper Receivers I have used (Aero,Palmetto,Faxon, Rainier, and many others). I think most users will be very satisfied with this barrel setup. I gave it 4 Stars because the barrel is a bit on the heavy side, and finding ammunition to get sub MOA performance has been difficult. I'd prefer to give it 4.5 stars
