Quality is imbued into our barrels from the start. We start with the best materials, either certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel or 416-R Stainless. From there, each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. All barrels are individually checked for headspace by precision custom hardened gauges.

We've taken them a step further, adding in our patent-pending permanently attached SLIM muzzle devices. Shooters can choose from a 3 port muzzle device or three-prong flash hider, both allowing the full assembly and disassembly of gas blocks and barrel nuts. Shooters are forever free to change their weapon's configuration without having to go to a gunsmith.

Faxon Firearms barrels are the pinnacle of value. Manufactured 100% in-house from cradle-to-grave, these barrels are fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11 degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy.

    Pencil Barrel

Item exactly as advertised. This is the barrel you want if you are building an ultra-light AR-15.

Great barrel, accuracy is acceptable for a barrel of this profile. Light as a feather. The only issue is that the barrel is dimpled for a set screw gas block. I ordered a superlative adjustable set screw gas block with this barrel and expected the barrel to be dimpled for it. Other than that I would highly recommend this barrel for a lightweight build. Faxon Staff Note - We do not dimple any barrels - we do not believe it is needed and have a detailed article in our blog area on our reasoning. Best to not break the QPQ layer and increase corrosion!

    High quality lightweight barrel

I'm in the firearm business and build a lot of rifles. I handle a lot of barrels and I feel these barrels are very high quality, beautiful pieces. I was able to successfully build a very lightweight rifle utilizing this barrel. With an optic and aluminum receivers my build came to 3.5 pounds. Amazing.

    Great weight

Love how lightweight this barrel is. Gun comes up very nice and is very maneuverable with all that weight savings up front. Great to see someone doing a factory pinned and welded 14.5" barrel. Only reason I give it 4 stars is the muzzle brake. Noticed mine wasn't timed correctly. Customer Service was great to work with though and sent me out a replacement quickly. Second one is still off just a tiny bit but nothing that I think would affect shooting. Much straighter than the first one I was sent. The other thing is that the weld isn't polished down and coated. Not sure if they did this to prove it's pinned and welded but I've seen other barrels where you can't even tell it's there. It's on the bottom and doesn't bother me too much though. All in all seems like a great barrel.
