Manufactured in-house from gun-barrel-quality bar-stock, the Match Series starts with 416-R in 5R rifling. 5R is a hybrid rifling, with lands opposite grooves and reduced sharp angles that reduces jacket deformation increasing velocity and easy cleaning. After rigorous testing, the barrels are Nitride treated inside and out, locking in the bore, improving barrel life, and keeping the elements at bay.
The extension is coated in Nickel Teflon which maintains incredible dry lubricity, corrosion resistance, and with the coating, tightens up fit between the extension and receiver - again improving upon accuracy. Combined, the Match Series of barrels are ready for when duty calls or the buzzer beeps with unrivaled performance value.

Copper PVD! MVP in my book. This barrel is absolutly stunning! The black handguard with the copper barrel just works! Plus, the accuracy of the barrel is almost a quarter with 3 shots at 100 yards, but that is within the first 50 rounds. Plus, with the new Faxon adjustable gas block it just works. Can't wait to see how it shoots after a couple hundred more! I will add more as I test it out, but so far it's a MVP vote for me! I have many other Faxon barrels and they don't disappoint! Bonus points for being on sale!
I am a huge fan of Faxon barrels and their quality. I build custom ARs and these are always a top choice. I specifically bought this barrel for a future product. When I received it the Copper PVD is even more beautiful then I hoped. The pictures online dont do it justice. I highly recommend this limited edition barrel.
