Fitment note:  Faxon Firearms M&P Shield barrels are not drop-in compatible with M&P Shield pistols that have a Loaded Chamber Indicator lever installed (such as the California compliant variation).  If you have a pistol with the LCI lever installed (or are unsure if your pistol is drop-in compatible) please contact our Customer Service Team for more information: customerservice@faxonfirearms.com 

Faxon's Match Series Pistol Barrels for Smith and Wesson/M&P are machined 100% in-house from stress-relieved 416-R stainless steel. These barrels are then given a black Nitride or PVD coating to increase lubricity, barrel life, and resistance to surface wear. All barrels are conventionally rifled to allow a wider range of ammunition to be used, including cast lead. The barrels drop into factory-spec slides with no gunsmithing required. Better-than-factory tolerances ensure a consistent, tighter lockup than OEM.

    I got the TiN coated barrel for my MP Shield Plus to replace its ported barrel. I shot 250 rounds to break it in. Performed flawless. The only reason I am giving it 4 star is because the barrel scratched heavily and I wish I had purchased dark color. Other than that it is awesome.

    Purchased this for my M&P Shield CA Compliant pistol and just realized we have an issue. Am going to have to figure this out now... It's a pretty barrel, good quality.

    I bought a Faxon barrel for my Glock 17. My accuracy went way up. So I figured it would help with my Shield 9mm. Yep! I oiled it a bit and just dropped it in. Racked it a bunch of times. It fit and locked up so perfect. It’s shooting much better then the stock barrel and it looks amazing. Stop thinking and start shooting.

    REALLY solid metal work, looks phenomenal, accuracy was on point, and very quick shipping. My only feedback I have is this barrel will not fit on CA compliant shields due to the "loaded chamber indicator". Unless I missed it somewhere I don't believe faxon stated that anywhere before purchasing.

    I purchased this barrel because of the great reputation Faxon has. I had never purchased anything from Faxon in the past, but I can assure you this barrel will not be the last product I buy. The fit was perfect. The accuracy was phenomenal. I replaced my ported Performance Center barrel, because having a defensive handgun with a ported barrel has proven very loud in the past.
