Faxon Match Series- 16" Big Gunner, 6.5 Creedmoor, 5R, 416R, Nitride, Nickel Teflon Extension, AR-10
FaxonFaxon continues our fantastic barrel-making with a bit more punch. We've updated our previous Medium-Taper profile taking into account customer feedback, optimizing the barrel to meet the Gunner brand's high standards.
The 6.5 Big Gunner profile barrels are the big-brother to our famous 5.56 Gunner barrels. The Big Gunners feature a medium-taper behind the gas block. The gas block journal is set to .750" for compatibility with most common gas blocks and 1.9" in length for long blocks or aftermarket piston kits. From the gas block journal forward we use a thinner taper, designed to reduce weight yet maintain rigidity for high rates of fire and as a suppressor host.

Shoots great and happy with velocities
I wanted to provide feedback for those worried about losing too much velocity going to a 16ā barrel. For comparison sake I reload for a 20ā Grendel as well and will provide experience with 123 SST and 129 ABLR using handloads just shy of max published limits. With the 123 SST I am getting 2850fps with this barrel compared to 2700fps with the longer Grendel. For the 129 ABLR Iām at 2750fps vs 2600 with the Grendel. Both loads are producing just shy of 1MOA and best to date was 0.3. Only three shoot groups though. Hope that helps someone out there. Overall happy with barrel and it shoots well.

16" 6.5 creedmoor barrel
Excellent product. Shooting sub-MOA out to 600 on steel, and I am not a benchrest shooter., especially with a gas gun. I was hoping for 2500fps with Hornady Precision 143 ELD-X and averaged 2650! Very pleased with product, would buy again. Outstanding product especially considering the price.
