The Houlding Precision Firearms Irish Curse was developed to mitigate recoil in the shortest possible length. This is a single chambered version of our Curse Muzzle Brake. We added a long top port to compensate for is short length. This top port keeps recoil down which in turn makes your muzzle shoot flat and keeps your on target. The bottom slots are directed at 60 degrees to prevent dust from kicking up and blocking optics or creating annoyances. All Houlding Firearms brakes are CNC machined from 1144 Stressproof Steel and come with a Malonite finish. Thread pitch is ½-28 and will fit all ½-28 AR-15 barrels. See our Youtube Videos for installation help and range tests.

This muzzle device works. It arrived fast, however the finish was not as good as I expected, it was dull brown , like it had been sitting in the package a long...long time. i was expection a nice Melonite finish. That being said, it worked very well reducing recoil, but you get a pretty good blast as well.

Another one out of the park by Houlding Precision! If you're looking for a good muzzle break that greatly reduces muzzle rise look no further. I loved the Curse when it came out but as a smaller statured shooter, someone who requires light weight products, the Irish Curse worked out great! Picked up 2, one right now being cerakoted with the 16" Gunner Barrel I just bought and one that I am having bored out for my 450 Bushmaster. The break does a great job helping stay on target and I'm a big fan of the aggressive tip for use of hand to hand combat needs or, as a breaching tool thru glass or whatever else you need to bust thru! Really looking forward to seeing how it runs with the new barrel. Houlding Precision and Faxon together...that's a match made in firearm heaven!!!:)
