Manufacturing Supervisor

Summary: 

The Manufacturing Supervisor serves as a supervisor and directs the employees of the plant to ensure we meet customer expectations in all manufacturing areas including safety, quality, delivery and cost.

This position is part of the leadership team, reporting directly to the Program Manager and Chief Operating Officer.  Responsible for directly managing shop floor employees and interacting with other supervisors and managers.

Reports to:

Program Manager & Chief Operating Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily production of employees closely
  • Analyze manufacturing production problems and implement corrective actions involving design and processes
  • Set-up and operate equipment to verify accuracy of machine settings and or programmed control data
  • Responsible for operator efficiency and improvement of overall efficiency
  • Organize and maintain a schedule for production
  • Work with Engineering and Quality to get needed paperwork and gages on the floor
  • Monitor and setup gaging
  • Manage inventory of purchased parts and raw material
  • Monitor and report scrap and non-conformances
  • Manage tooling inventory and usage
  • Coordinates with 1st shift and 2nd shift to ensure proper communication of all requirements

Preferred Experience: 

  • Background in lean manufacturing
  • Understanding of ISO certifications
  • Experience in set-up and operation of lathes and mills 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)

 

National Sales Manager 

Summary:

Responsible for day to day management with medium and large dealers as well as OEM customers.  Responsible for seeing that the sales programs developed by the management team are executed monthly as well as annual goals are met for targeted sales channel.  In conjunction with the Director of Sales and Business Development will work with and develop successful strategies and programs for targeted customer sales channel.  

Reports to:

Director of Sales and Business Development 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively solicits the market to develop business from medium to large dealers and OEM customers.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with key clients through the delivery of accurate information, personality, and by building trust.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Sales and Business Development, negotiates deals with clients to establish programmatic orders.
  • Serves as an advocate of the targeted sales channel within internal discussions.
  • Meets sales goals and objectives as set by the Company.
  • Travels as assigned for sales calls including visits by both car and air.
  • Safely and competently demonstrate any Faxon Firearms products.
  • Identifies Company & market gaps. Advocates for new products and the elimination of unsuccessful lines.
  • Acts as a Liaison between company and targeted sales channel
  • Troubleshoots problems regarding products provided
  • Documents all sales and ordering information according to Company standards
  • Work within Company policy as outlined in the Company Handbook.
  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company.

Candidate Preferred Minimum Requirements

  • 3-5 year established history of positive-growth in an account-based sales environment preferably in Hunting/Shooting Industry.
  • Ability to positively communicate to a distributed network using in-person visits, calls, and electronic communication.
  • Basic understanding of firearms, their function, and technical specifications.
  • Established competency in using computers, spread sheets, and modern communications technologies.
  • Proactive attitude that does not require constant supervision.
  • Charismatic personality and confidence in conducting product demonstrations and proven proactive management skills
  • Build, grow and manage successful customer relationships
  • Manage and support implementation and execution of sales policies and procedures
  • Act as a conduit for the company as to market research and development
  • Recommend sales strategies for continual improvement based on market research and competitor analysis.
  • Proven proactive management skills. 
  • Ability to travel up to 35% via car and or air.  

Desired

  • Previous firearms sales experience.
  • Experience in working with CRM on a daily basis to manage sales funnels
  • Detailed exposure to firearms and the ability to discuss technical features in detail.

 

Inside Sales Account Executive

Summary:

Great opportunity for an entry level sales position in the ever-growing outdoor industry.  The Inside Sales Account Executive will quickly become an integral part of the current sales team.  This is a new position with plenty of upside and growth potential.  Candidate will actively solicit the market to develop business from small independent dealers which will encompass all channels.  In this position you will serve as the external eyes and ears as customer service and communicate market demands to Company leadership; likewise communicates Company developments, policies, and requirements to the targeted channel network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively solicits the market to develop business with smaller independent shops and gun ranges  
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with current and new clients through the delivery of accurate information, personality, and by building trust.
  • Fields customer service and retail type calls as well as emails
  • Serves as an advocate of the targeted sales channel within internal discussions.
  • Meets sales goals and objectives as set by the Company.
  • Travels when needed to trade shows, industry events and company sponsored promotions.
  • Safely and competently demonstrate any Faxon Firearms products.
  • Identifies Company & market gaps. Advocates for new products and the elimination of unsuccessful lines.
  • Acts as a Liaison between company and targeted sales channel
  • Troubleshoots problems regarding products provided
  • Manage sales channel category as well as relationships; continually maintaining, building and growing with new and existing customers
  • Maintain accurate records as to knowledge of customer account activities and provide monthly reports as to updates and account summaries
  • Documents all sales and ordering information according to Company standards
  • Work within Company policy as outlined in the Company Handbook.
  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company.

Candidate Preferred Minimum Requirements

  • Some retail experience preferred.  1-2 Years of positive-growth in an account-based sales environment preferably in Hunting/Shooting Industry.
  • Good speaking manner; good grammar, articulate and pleasant personality
  • Handle customer inquiries both by telephone and via emails in a professional manner
  • Basic understanding of firearms, their function, and technical specifications.
  • Established competency in using computers, spread sheets, and modern communications technologies.
  • Proactive attitude that does not require constant supervision.
  • Build, grow and manage successful customer relationships
  • Manage and support implementation and execution of sales policies and procedures
  • Act as a conduit for the company as to market research and development
  • Recommend sales strategies for continual improvement based on market research and competitor analysis
