Faxon's .308 continue our fantastic barrel-making with a bit more punch.

Faxon Firearms barrels are the pinnacle of value. Manufactured 100% in-house from cradle-to-grave, these barrels are fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11 degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy.

Quality is imbued into our barrels from the start. We start with the best materials, either certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel or 416-R Stainless. From there, each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. All barrels are individually checked for headspace by precision custom hardened gauges.

Faxon manufactures all our barrels in Cincinnati, Ohio under our ISO:9001 and AS:9100  quality certifications.

*Note - Faxon Firearms barrels are chambered to SAAMI specification .308 Winchester at a nominal headspace depth (passing "Go" and failing "No-Go"). This ensures maximum safety and accuracy.

7.62x51 NATO is not the same round as .308 Winchester, though it will fit within chamber. 7.62x51 technically requires deeper headspacing to meet the military specification and is known to function in Faxon .308 WIN barrels under most circumstances. However, due to the variation of components in the .308 AR world and variations between loadings, Faxon cannot guarantee or warrant function with 7.62x51, especially with bolts with tight ("match") .308  WIN headspacing.

Excellent barrel, head spacing was dead on. I've purchased .308 barrels from several other companies and the .308 barrels have always had headspacing issues due to the tight tolerances of the round. This barrel worked out perfectly! Will definitely buy again

I put this barrel on a customers gun, and sighted it in with PMC Bronze 147gr ammo and was getting sub MOA accuracy. I was impressed.

Recently purchased your barrel for a new DPMS format build. The barrel looks great, nice finish, no dings from shipping. Everything fit perfectly. First check of head space with my USPATRIOT Armory BCG was perfect. Looking forward to my first firing. Took the word of other reviews. Spot ON!

With an excess of spare [extra parts] was in need of a barrel. having never used a QPQ barrel, a little research led me to this barrel. It is fantastic. Over water,to reduce heat problems, after establishing range, three hits in two inches at 900 yards with military Ball 147gr. you can not ask for much better. Awesome barrel.

This barrel is great value for the money. Light weight and nicely finished, So far I am sub MOA at 100 yards but expect to be even better when the adjustable gas system is tuned for better ammo. Just look at the specs, better than most $500 308 barrels.

I would recommend any AR308 use an adjustable gas system, and a lighter carrier like the JP LMOS. My AR308 weighs 5.73 pounds without scope and is easier to shoot (less recoil) than many other AR308s.

Like others mine weighed 36.05, ounces less than what it is listed at.

The Faxon 308 barrels are great for any quality build. It's the little things that make this a great value. Many times I have had to run a die over the threaded portion of other barrels because the muzzle brake would not screw on. But Faxon is good to go out of the box. The QPQ finish will allow you to shoot thousands of rounds more.

AR308's are the new thing to build, and the Faxon barrels are absolutely the best starting point for any project.

These barrels are of excellent quality. The accuracy is exceptional. My rifle will shoot 1" groups at 100 yards off a bipod. They're also lightweight and make a good build. I have so far bought 2 of these and will be buying more in the future.

This Faxon AR10 308 18 inch Medium contour Barrel is a work of art. I found it perfect in every way. The fit to reciever was very good, there was no slop or it wasn't to tight either. Snug but I installed by hand. The color was nice and dark (black) all across the barrel. Perfect. Groups have been between 1 inch and 1 and 1/2 so far but I have only been shooting at 100 yards with a scoped rifle and my eyes are 58 years old too. But that is pretty good for me. This barrel is a medium contour barrel which is what I wanted (not to heavy) and I weighed it right out of the bag and it weight 2 pounds on the button. My opinion is this barrel is very very well made and I am very happy with it. Definitely would highly recommend this barrel to anyone. High Quality Barrel for sure.
